Iulia Vantur Opens Up: Why She Turned Down a Song in Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan
Iulia Vantur, who has been associated with Salman Khan professionally since 2014—lending her voice to songs in O Teri, Sultan, Radhe, Race 3, and Sikandar—has revealed why she decided not to be part of the music album for Salman’s upcoming film Battle of Galwan.
She said that although she was offered a song for the big-budget war film, she chose to focus on her own projects. “I was offered a song by the composer. But I want to build my own path in the industry and the musical world. I’m trying to create my own identity. It’s better if I do my own projects,” she said.
The music for Battle of Galwan has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya, with whom Iulia previously collaborated on his album Aap Se Mausiiquii.
Carving Her Own Space
While Iulia expresses gratitude for Salman Khan’s guidance and support over the years, she emphasises the importance of establishing herself independently:
“It feels like a blessing to have Salman’s support. He has always been encouraging, and I’ve learned so much about music, films, and entertainment from him. But one will always be overshadowed by someone with his aura. He has given 35 years to this industry, and people love him for it. I feel it’s only right that I get to show who I am on my own.”
Learning From Experience
Iulia draws confidence from the way she built her career in Romania, relying solely on her talent and perseverance:
“I made it in Romania on my own merit. There was nobody to help me, and I didn’t know anyone in television there. I walked into offices with my CV and cracked all casting opportunities myself. I know my capabilities. I may make mistakes along the way, but I put my heart into everything I do.”
With this approach, Iulia aims to gradually carve her niche in Bollywood, balancing gratitude for her past opportunities with a desire to stand on her own creative feet.
