India and Pakistan will once again headline the Women’s Asia Cup as the much-anticipated clash between the two arch-rivals has been scheduled for September 5 in the 2026 edition of the tournament.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced the complete fixtures on Thursday, August 6, with Dubai set to host the entire competition. The blockbuster Group A encounter will be played at the Dubai International Stadium. India have been drawn alongside Pakistan, Thailand and Hong Kong China, while Group B features defending champions Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE and Indonesia.

The tournament will kick off on August 28 with Thailand taking on Hong Kong China. India will begin their campaign against Thailand on August 30 before facing Pakistan in what is expected to be the biggest match of the group stage. All games will be played under lights, with a 6:30 PM local time start. The semi-finals are scheduled for September 10 and 11, while the final will take place on September 13.

The 2026 edition will be the sixth Women’s Asia Cup to be held in the T20 International format.

India enter the tournament as the most successful team in the competition’s history and will be aiming to win a record-extending eighth Women’s Asia Cup title. Pakistan, meanwhile, are still chasing their first crown after finishing runners-up to India in the 2012 and 2016 finals.

In the T20I era of the tournament, Pakistan have managed to beat India only once, during the 2022 edition. India, however, have dominated the rivalry in recent years, including a convincing 64-run victory over Pakistan in their latest meeting at the Women’s T20 World Cup, and will look to continue that momentum when the two sides meet again in Dubai.
