Arshdeep Singh Becomes Fastest Indian Seamer to 100 T20I Wickets.

Arshdeep Singh etched his name in history by becoming the first Indian to take 100 T20I wickets, achieving the milestone in just 64 matches. This makes him the fastest seamer to reach 100 wickets among full-member nations, surpassing Pakistan’s Haris Rauf, who did it in 71 matches.

The left-arm pacer debuted in 2022 against New Zealand and had been stuck on 99 wickets since January 2025, after being benched in India’s last two matches against England. With no T20Is scheduled until the Asia Cup, Arshdeep had to wait months for his next opportunity.

He finally played in India’s third group-stage game against Oman. Despite a slow start, he claimed his 100th wicket with the first ball of the final over, dismissing Vinayak Shukla caught by Rinku Singh.

Globally, only Rashid Khan (53 matches), Sandeep Lamichhane (54), and Wanindu Hasaranga (63) reached 100 T20I wickets faster than Arshdeep. Among pacers, he holds the top spot, ahead of Haris Rauf (71) and Mark Adair (72).
