Indian cricket fans got their first glimpse of the team’s new ODI jersey during a pre-series photoshoot at Perth’s Optus Stadium ahead of the India–Australia ODI series.
The revamped kit features Apollo Tyres as the new lead sponsor, replacing Dream11, with its logo prominently displayed across the front. Dhruv Jurel and Nitish Kumar Reddy showcased the new design for India, while Mitchell Starc and Travis Head represented Australia. All-rounder Axar Patel also attended a media interaction later in the day.
The jersey has drawn a mixed response from fans. While some praised its sharp design and refreshed colour scheme, others felt the sponsor logo was too large, pushing the “INDIA” text lower than usual and affecting the overall balance of the look.
The unveiling comes just days before the first ODI on October 19, as India prepare to face Australia in a much-anticipated three-match series. The return of senior players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, following their retirements from T20Is and Tests, has further fuelled excitement for the series — and for the debut of the team’s new look on the field.
