InterGlobe Aviation Ltd (IndiGo) is set to replace Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPVL) in the BSE Sensex from December 22, 2025, according to a circular issued by BSE Index Services Private Ltd.

The exchange has also announced a broad reconstitution across key indices, including the BSE 100, Sensex 50, Sensex Next 50 and Bankex, with changes effective from December 22 and December 26.

The primary reason for TMPVL’s exit from the 30-stock benchmark index is the demerger of Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle (CV) and passenger vehicle (PV) businesses. Following the split, TMPVL’s standalone market capitalization fell below the free-float threshold required to remain in the Sensex.

Other major index changes include:

  • BSE 100 (Effective December 22, 2025)
  • IDFC First Bank to replace Adani Green Energy Ltd
  • Max Healthcare Institute to replace IndusInd Bank
  • Sensex Next 50 (Effective December 22, 2025)
  • IndusInd Bank and IDFC First Bank to be added
  • Max Healthcare Institute and Adani Green Energy to be removed
  • BSE Bankex (Effective December 26, 2025)

Four banks will be added:

  • Canara Bank
  • AU Small Finance Bank
  • Punjab National Bank
  • Union Bank of India
