Star Cast and Story of Jailer 2

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 features Rajinikanth in his signature larger-than-life avatar, blending action, humour and dramatic sequences. Anirudh Ravichander has returned to compose the music and background score.

The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, S. J. Suryah, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Yogi Babu, among others.

What Are Viewers Saying About Jailer 2?

Initial reactions on social media have praised Rajinikanth’s screen presence, the action choreography, comic sequences and Anirudh’s energetic background score. However, the response has not been entirely unanimous, with some viewers expressing reservations about the second half and the screenplay.

An excerpt from our review states: “Jailer 2 has enough swagger, dark humour and high-voltage action to make for an engaging first half, with Rajinikanth at his most commanding and Anirudh’s background score amplifying the spectacle. However, the sequel struggles to sustain that momentum with a repetitive screenplay and underdeveloped character arcs.”

With ₹125.25 crore in reported worldwide gross collections on its opening day, Jailer 2 has delivered a strong box office debut. The film’s continued performance will be closely watched as it enters its first weekend in theatres.
