Jr NTR to Play Lord Kumara Swamy in Trivikram’s Upcoming Mythological Fantasy.

Jr NTR is set to portray Lord Kumara Swamy in an upcoming mythological drama directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The film, produced by Harika Hassine Creations, marks a return to collaboration between the actor and director after Aravinda Sametha.

Initially envisioned with Allu Arjun in the lead, the project returned to Jr NTR after Arjun committed to director Atlee’s next. The shift now brings together Trivikram and Jr NTR for a film that explores a divine narrative rooted in Indian mythology.

The buzz intensified after producer Naga Vamsi shared a cryptic post on X, hinting at Jr NTR’s role. The post featured a Sanskrit verse alluding to Lord Skanda and referred to NTR as “one of the most powerful gods.”

Producers S. Radha Krishna and Naga Vamsi are backing the project, which promises grand visuals, an emotionally rich storyline, and a blend of spiritual themes with mainstream appeal.

This film adds to Jr NTR’s packed calendar. He is currently working on War 2—his Bollywood debut opposite Hrithik Roshan—along with Devara: Part 2, and has upcoming projects with directors Prashanth Neel and Nelson Dilipkumar.

Known as the “Man of Masses,” Jr NTR remains one of the most influential figures in Telugu cinema, with a career spanning over 30 films and numerous accolades, including Filmfare, SIIMA, IIFA, and Nandi Awards.
