Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the controversy surrounding the song Sarse Ninna Seraga Sarse (Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke in Hindi), featuring Nora Fatehi from the upcoming film KD – The Devil.

The track faced backlash online over its allegedly vulgar and suggestive lyrics, prompting its removal from social media. In a statement to ANI, Ranaut criticised the film industry, saying it had “crossed all limits” in the name of attention and called for stricter regulation of such content.

“Bollywood has crossed all limits with vulgarity, tactics, and attention-seeking. The entire country is condemning and reprimanding them. But I don’t think they have any shame,” she said.

Calling for stronger action, she added, “There needs to be even more strictness about the display of such vulgarity and obscenity. I think some strict rein will have to be put on Bollywood.”

The controversy erupted soon after the song was released on YouTube, with several users slamming its lyrics and visuals as “vulgar” and “inappropriate.” Following the backlash, the makers removed the track from the platform.

Amid the row, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) issued a notice to the makers of KD – The Devil over the use of allegedly suggestive content, seeking its removal from all social media platforms.

The film’s makers are yet to issue an official response.

Directed by Prem, KD – The Devil stars Dhruva Sarja and Sanjay Dutt in key roles and is backed by KVN Productions.
