Terrorist Killed, Three Soldiers Injured in Kulgam Encounter.

A terrorist was killed and three Army personnel were injured during an encounter in the Guddar forest area of Kulgam district, Jammu & Kashmir, on Monday. The operation followed specific intelligence provided by Jammu and Kashmir Police, prompting a joint search involving the Indian Army, J&K Police, and CRPF.

“Troops on alert observed suspicious activity. When challenged, terrorists opened fire, leading to a gunfight during which one terrorist was eliminated and a junior commissioned officer sustained injuries. The operation is ongoing,” the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army stated on X.

Officials said two to three terrorists may still be hiding in the area. Additional forces have been deployed, and the encounter remains underway.
