At least seven devotees were killed and more than 10 injured after a stampede broke out at the Ashok Dham Temple in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district on Monday.
The incident took place as thousands of devotees gathered at the temple on the third Monday of the holy Shravan month. Panic reportedly erupted after an electric wire fell, triggering chaos among the crowd.
The stampede led to multiple casualties, with seven devotees losing their lives and over 10 others sustaining injuries. The injured were rushed for medical treatment.
Authorities have initiated relief and crowd-control measures at the temple as further details of the incident emerge.
