Sensex Rises 235 Points, Nifty Above 25,280; Metals Lead Gains.
Indian markets opened higher on Tuesday, supported by positive global cues amid US–China trade concerns and ongoing domestic earnings announcements. The BSE Sensex jumped 235 points (0.29%) to 82,562, while the NSE Nifty50 gained 55 points (0.22%) to 25,283.
Broader markets also edged up, with the Nifty MidCap and SmallCap indices climbing 0.37% and 0.38%, respectively.
Sectorally, Nifty Metal led the rally with a 1% gain, boosted by select steel and mining stocks. Nifty Pharma underperformed, falling 0.37%, and emerging as the day’s top laggard.
