Mirzapur The Movie Runtime Revealed: Ali Fazal-Pankaj Tripathi Film Is 3 Hours 17 Minutes Long

The wait for Mirzapur fans is almost over as the popular franchise is set to make its big-screen debut. After three seasons filled with power struggles, revenge and betrayals, Mirzapur:

The Movie will bring several of the show’s most popular characters back to theatres. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the film is scheduled to release on September 4. Ali Fazal returns as Guddu Pandit, Pankaj Tripathi reprises his role as Kaleen Bhaiya, and Divyenndu is back as Munna Tripathi.

Mirzapur The Movie Runtime And Certification

The upcoming film is far from a short theatrical watch. According to information listed on the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) website, Mirzapur: The Movie has a runtime of 197.19 minutes, or 3 hours and 17 minutes.

The film received its certification on August 29. Excel Entertainment submitted the movie for certification, with the process handled by the CBFC’s Mumbai regional office.

The certification details have also offered fans a glimpse into the film’s storyline. The official synopsis suggests that the battle for the Mirzapur throne will continue, with old enemies returning and fresh threats emerging as several contenders fight for control of the city’s criminal underworld.

Guddu Pandit, Kaleen Bhaiya Return

The theatrical film reunites several familiar faces from the series. Along with Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and Divyenndu, Abhishek Banerjee returns as Compounder, while Harshita Gaur plays Dimpy Pandit.

Shriya Pilgaonkar reprises Sweety Gupta, Shweta Tripathi returns as Golu Gupta and Rasika Dugal is back as Bina Tripathi. Mohit Mallik, Sonal Chauhan and Ravi Kishan are also part of the cast.

One significant change involves Bablu Pandit. Jitendra Kumar will play the character in the film, replacing Vikrant Massey, who portrayed Bablu during the first season of the series.

From Prime Video To The Big Screen

The Mirzapur franchise began on Amazon Prime Video in 2018, with the first season premiering on November 16 that year. Its success led to a second season in 2020 and a third instalment in 2024.

Now, the story is moving from streaming to theatres, with Guddu Pandit, Kaleen Bhaiya and other key characters set to return for another violent fight over power and the Mirzapur throne.
