In their statement, Mouni and Suraj expressed disappointment over what they called “unnecessary and intrusive attention” into their personal lives. Mouni and Suraj first met during a New Year celebration in Dubai in 2018 through mutual friends. Despite living in different cities initially, they maintained a long-distance relationship before marrying in Goa in 2022 in traditional Malayali and Bengali ceremonies.
