NATO Head Seeks Robust Security Commitments for Ukraine

During his visit to Kyiv, NATO Secretary General emphasized the need for “robust security guarantees” for Ukraine amid ongoing tensions with Russia.

He called on member states to strengthen support for Ukraine’s defense and reaffirmed NATO’s commitment to regional stability. The visit also included discussions with Ukrainian leaders on military aid, strategic cooperation, and measures to deter further aggression.

On Friday, NATO Secretary General called for “robust” security guarantees for Ukraine to ensure that Russia respects any future peace agreement and refrains from attempting to seize Ukrainian territory.

“Strong security assurances will be crucial, and defining them is our current priority,” Mark Rutte said during a visit to Kyiv, speaking alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
