Netanyahu Claims Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Destroyed in Joint US-Israel Strikes.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday declared that his promise to dismantle Iran’s nuclear programme had been “fulfilled,” following coordinated military strikes carried out by Israel and the United States on Iranian nuclear sites.
In a video message shared on social media, Netanyahu confirmed that airstrikes had targeted Iran’s Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities, calling it a decisive moment for regional security. “From the beginning of the operation, I promised you that Iran’s nuclear facilities would be destroyed, one way or another. This promise has been fulfilled,” Netanyahu said.
The Israeli leader described the strikes as the result of “perfect operational coordination” between the two nations and praised former US President Donald Trump for ordering the American component of the assault.
“President Trump’s bold decision to target Iran’s nuclear facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history,” he said, adding that the move marked a “pivot of history” that could lead the Middle East toward peace and prosperity.
Details of the Strikes
The strikes mark a major escalation in the conflict between Israel and Iran, which has seen an exchange of military attacks since June 13, when Israel launched initial operations alleging Tehran was on the brink of developing a nuclear weapon—an accusation Iran strongly denies.
Trump, in a post on his social media platform, confirmed that US warplanes had struck key Iranian nuclear sites, joining Israel’s ongoing campaign.
“Peace Through Strength”
Netanyahu, repeating a phrase often used by both leaders, said:
“President Trump and I often say, peace through strength. First comes strength, then comes peace.” In a follow-up statement, Netanyahu emphasized that the strikes were fully coordinated with the US, reiterating that the mission’s goal of disabling Iran’s nuclear programme had been achieved.
While Israeli and American officials are hailing the joint offensive as a major success, the broader implications remain unclear, with the international community watching closely as tensions in the region continue to rise.
