The Traitors Episode 1: Apoorva Mukhija Hits Back After Uorfi Javed Claims They’re ‘Not on the Same Level’.

The first episode of The Traitors India, which premiered on Prime Video on June 12, wasted no time diving into drama. A clash between social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija (aka Rebel Kid) and TV personality Uorfi Javed quickly became the talking point.

The Fallout
Tensions flared when Apoorva revealed she was feeling emotionally overwhelmed and asked Uorfi for some space. Uorfi, however, took it personally. “She got irritated just because I asked for a few minutes of silence. Later, she started talking about being on a different ‘level’ than me,” Apoorva said. “Her height hasn’t grown, neither has her brain. I’m fine not talking to her.”

Uorfi responded with equal bluntness, saying, “I asked what was wrong, and she snapped at me. If someone’s going to behave like that, I don’t want to be friends. I’ve worked hard to get where I am. She’s not at my level and needs to show respect.”

Audience Reaction
Viewers quickly took to social media, with many backing Apoorva.

One user wrote:

“Someone tell Uorfi that fame doesn’t excuse arrogance. There are others on the show way more accomplished and still humble.”

Another added:
“She joined thinking it’d be a breeze but clearly underestimated everyone. Apoorva, on the other hand, is coming off as grounded and real.”

About the Show
The Traitors India, hosted by Karan Johar, features 20 contestants including Uorfi Javed, Apoorva Mukhija, Karan Kundrra, Raftaar, Anshula Kapoor, and Maheep Kapoor. Based on the Dutch series De Verraders, the show is a psychological game of trust and betrayal where “Faithfuls” must identify and eliminate the hidden “Traitors” among them.

With emotions already running high in episode one, this season promises plenty of conflict, alliances—and reality checks.
