Hari Hara Veera Mallu Day 5 Box Office: Pawan Kalyan’s Film Faces Steep Drop on First Monday.

After a thunderous opening weekend, Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 has encountered its first major stumbling block at the box office. The period action-adventure, starring Pawan Kalyan, saw a sharp 78.11% dip in collections on Day 5, collecting just ₹2.32 crore nett in India on its first Monday, according to early estimates from Sacnilk.

Released on July 23, 2025, the film had kicked off its theatrical run with an impressive ₹34.75 crore on Day 1, further boosted by ₹12.75 crore from paid premieres the day before. Despite a tepid response from critics and mixed audience reviews, the film managed to surpass ₹100 crore worldwide in just five days. Its current domestic total stands at approximately ₹77.57 crore nett.

While the strong opening suggested a potential blockbuster, the sharp Monday decline raises questions about the film’s long-term hold. With weekday traction appearing weak, Hari Hara Veera Mallu now faces an uphill task in maintaining momentum at the box office.

Epic Scope, Mixed Reception
Directed by Jyothi Krishna, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is set in the 17th century and follows the journey of a rebellious outlaw who challenges an oppressive empire. The film explores themes of resistance, justice, and loyalty, wrapped in large-scale set pieces and a visually rich narrative.

Marking Pawan Kalyan’s return to cinema after assuming the role of Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the film had generated high pre-release buzz. Kalyan’s performance has been praised for its intensity, though the film as a whole has struggled to sustain consistent word-of-mouth.

The screenplay is penned by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, Sai Madhav Burra, and Abhimanyu Srivastava.

What’s Next for the Film?
The film’s box office trajectory in the coming days will depend heavily on weekday performance and potential support from the upcoming weekend. With competition expected from new releases and audience interest appearing to wane, Hari Hara Veera Mallu will need strong legs to recover from its post-weekend slide.
