PM Modi Accuses RJD of Promoting Lawlessness, Says NDA Empowering Youth with Laptops, Not Pistols.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday mounted a sharp attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its allies, accusing them of trying to turn Bihar’s youth toward crime instead of progress. Addressing rallies in Sitamarhi and Bettiah, the Prime Minister contrasted the ruling NDA’s development policies with what he called the opposition’s culture of “jungle raj.”

“These people want to make their children chief ministers and ministers, but for your children, they want to make rangdaars (goons). Bihar will never accept this. Jungle raj means pistols, cruelty, corruption, and enmity,” Modi said, reiterating that the NDA is providing the youth with “computers and sports equipment,” while the RJD is “talking about pistols.”

His remarks came in response to a viral video showing a 10-year-old boy on an RJD campaign stage saying he wanted to become a gangster — a clip that has sparked widespread outrage. Modi cited the video as evidence that the opposition’s mindset remains trapped in the politics of fear and violence.

“If you listen to RJD’s campaign songs and slogans, you’ll shiver. Innocent children are being made to say such things on their platforms,” he said.

Escalating his attack, the Prime Minister coined a new slogan for the NDA campaign:

“Nai chahiye katta sarkar, phir ek baar NDA sarkar”
(We don’t want a gun-wielding government; we want the NDA government again.)

Modi described “jungle raj” as a system defined by “Katta, Kroorta, Katuta, Kusanskar, and corruption,” asserting that the RJD had destroyed Bihar’s progress in the past. “As soon as jungle raj came, Bihar’s downfall began. RJD ended all development in the state. Their talk of progress is nothing but white lies,” he said.

The Prime Minister also praised voters for the record 65.08% turnout in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly polls on November 6, calling it a sign of strong support for the NDA. “You’ve given a big shock to the opposition — they’re losing sleep now,” he told the crowd.

As Bihar heads into the second and final phase of polling on November 11, with results expected on November 14, Modi reiterated the NDA’s focus on development, entrepreneurship, and stability. “Bihar today needs dreamers of startups, not wielders of kattas,” he said, urging voters to back the alliance once again.
