PM Modi Promises Unwavering Service to Bihar, Slams Congress-RJD Over ‘Jungle Raj’ Rule.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reaffirmed his commitment to Bihar’s development, announcing that the central government aims to build three crore more pucca houses in the coming years. Speaking at a public rally in Siwan, he said his mission of public service will not pause.
“Modi will not sleep peacefully. I will continue working for you—you are my family,” he told the crowd, underscoring his long-term pledge to uplift the state.
Taking aim at the opposition, PM Modi criticised the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), referring to their election symbols—‘Panja’ (hand) and ‘Laltern’ (lantern)—as symbols of a dark era for Bihar.
“Bihar became a symbol of poverty under the rule of ‘Panja’ and ‘Laltern’. It was the NDA that put Bihar back on the path of development,” he said.
He said the youth of Bihar have heard of the ‘jungle raj’ era but have not experienced the fear and lawlessness that once plagued the state.
“They’ve only heard stories of what Bihar used to be like. It is this young generation that has voted out jungle raj and embraced development,” Modi added, crediting the NDA, led in Bihar by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, for the state’s transformation.
He also invoked the legacy of national figures such as Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Brajkishore Prasad, saying the NDA government is carrying their vision forward. During the rally, Modi laid the foundation and inaugurated development projects worth thousands of crores.
The Prime Minister also spoke about his recent foreign visit, stating that global leaders are watching India’s rapid rise with admiration.
“The world sees India becoming the third-largest economic superpower very soon. Bihar will play a vital role in this journey,” he said.
PM Modi’s remarks appear to be part of a larger narrative ahead of upcoming state and national elections—positioning the NDA as a force of progress and stability, while painting the opposition as a return to a regressive past.
