PTI Senator Denies Rumours, Confirms Imran Khan Alive in Adiala Jail.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Khurram Zeeshan has dismissed rumours about the alleged death of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, confirming that the PTI chairman is alive and currently held in Adiala jail. The remarks come after unverified claims circulated on Afghan social media earlier this week, alleging Khan had been killed in custody.

Speaking to ANI, Zeeshan said Khan has been kept in near-total isolation for almost a month—a deliberate attempt, he claims, to pressure the former Prime Minister into leaving Pakistan. He noted that Khan’s family, legal team, and senior PTI leaders have been denied access despite court orders allowing visits.

“It is very unfortunate. His isolation is a complete violation of human rights. They are trying to force him into something,” Zeeshan said.

He confirmed that PTI has received assurances regarding Khan’s safety.

“In the last few days, we have been given a guarantee. He is alive and currently lodged in Adiala jail. He is okay,” Zeeshan stated. The senator alleged that authorities are attempting to coerce Khan into accepting an exile deal, offering concessions if he agrees to leave Pakistan and remain silent abroad.

“They are trying to strike a deal… but Imran Khan will never agree to it. The kind of leader he is, he will never approve it,” Zeeshan added.

Despite confinement, Zeeshan emphasized that Khan’s political influence remains strong, particularly among young Pakistanis. He claimed the government’s refusal to release recent photos or videos of Khan is aimed at preventing public mobilisation in his favour.

“Even a single photograph could galvanise public sentiment,” he said, highlighting the enduring appeal of the PTI chairman.
