Rakhi Sawant Takes a Dig at Tamannaah Bhatia, Calls Her a “Fading Heroine” for Doing Item Songs.

Rakhi Sawant, the self-proclaimed “OG item girl” of Bollywood, has reignited controversy with her sharp remarks about actress Tamannaah Bhatia. In a recent interview with Hindi Rush, Rakhi questioned Tamannaah’s decision to perform in item songs, implying that such roles are taken up by actresses whose mainstream film careers have slowed down.

“Tamannaah se meri koi problem nahi hai. Bus yeh hai ki Baahubali jaisi badi film karne ke baad suddenly hamare jaise item song kyu karne lagi? You played the main heroine in multi-crore films, what’s the point of doing 5-10 lakh worth songs like Aaj Ki Raat? Yeh beer bar type ke song humein suit karte hain,” Rakhi said. She went on to claim that A-list heroines are “taking every kind of role” — adding, “Now she will play heroine also, do item song also, play the sister also — what would we do then?”

‘OG Hum Hi Hain’: Rakhi Defends Her Legacy

In another chat with Filmygyan, Rakhi continued her tirade, asserting that today’s actresses are copying her style. “Yeh log hum log ko dekh kar item song karna seekh gaye. Jab inka heroine wala career nahi chala, toh inhone humare pet par laat maar ke item song karne lag gaye. Sharam karo! OG toh hum hi hain. Ab hum heroine banenge,” she declared.

Rakhi also revealed her plans to make a full-fledged comeback to Bollywood — not as an item dancer but as a lead actress. Known for her hits like Pardesia and Dekhta Hai Tu Kya, she shared that she is moving back to India from Dubai to relaunch her acting career.

Meanwhile, her personal life continues to attract headlines. Following her turbulent marriage and public fallout with Adil Khan Durrani, the Bombay High Court recently quashed all pending cases between the two after Rakhi withdrew her complaints.

Adil reacted to the court’s decision by writing on social media, “After years of struggle, patience, and faith… this day has finally come. Thank you to everyone who supported me through every challenge.”
