Rani Mukerji’s ‘Mardaani 3’ Gets Release Date, Shivani Shivaji Roy Is Back

Yash Raj Films’ Mardaani franchise is back with its third installment, and Rani Mukerji will reprise her role as the fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy. The makers have announced that Mardaani 3 will hit theatres on January 30, 2026.

Sharing the film’s poster, YRF wrote: “She won’t stop, until she rescues them all! #RaniMukerji is back as the fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in #Mardaani3. Rescue begins in cinemas near you on 30th Jan.”

Rani Mukerji has promised that the new film will raise the stakes higher than the previous installments. “Mardaani 3 is dark, deadly and brutal. We aimed for a story that would take the franchise experience to the next level,” she said. “I hope audiences enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.”

The film marks the first directorial venture of Abhiraj Minawala, a YRF protege who has assisted on films like Band Baaja Baaraat, Sultan and Tiger 3. The script is written by Aayush Gupta (The Railway Men), who has been tasked with taking the franchise forward with a fresh perspective.

With Rani Mukerji leading the charge, Mardaani 3 promises a high-octane mix of action, suspense and emotional drama, continuing the legacy of one of Hindi cinema’s most celebrated female-led franchises.
