Senior India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has made himself available for two matches in Saurashtra’s 2025–26 Vijay Hazare Trophy, a move seen as a clear signal of his intent to remain in India’s ODI plans ahead of the 2027 World Cup.
Jadeja will represent Saurashtra in their Elite Group games against Services on January 6 and Gujarat on January 8, both to be played in Alur, Karnataka. The all-rounder has confirmed his availability to the Saurashtra Cricket Association.
The decision follows the BCCI’s directive asking senior international players to use the break between India’s series against South Africa and New Zealand to gain match practice in domestic competitions. One of India’s most experienced white-ball players, Jadeja has featured in 260 List A matches, scoring 3,911 runs and picking up 293 wickets. He averages 32.86 with the bat and 34.22 with the ball in the format.
The Vijay Hazare Trophy, India’s premier domestic 50-over tournament, is being held from December 24 to January 18, with 38 teams in action across the Elite and Plate divisions.
