Kantara Chapter 1, the Kannada period action drama, continues its unstoppable run at the box office. The film has now crossed the ₹650 crore mark globally, surpassing SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning and Salman Khan’s Sultan, and is steadily approaching ₹700 crore.

On its 12th day, the film earned ₹13.50 crore net in India, down 64% from Sunday’s ₹39.75 crore. Despite the dip, a strong second weekend pushed domestic collections past ₹450 crore, totaling ₹451.90 crore net (₹542 crore gross). Overseas, the film has grossed over $11 million, led by North American audiences. Hombale Films reported a second-weekend gross of ₹146 crore, bringing the worldwide total to around ₹655–675 crore, while trade estimates suggest about ₹650 crore.

Record-Breaking Achievement
