Satyamev Jayate: Inter Kashi Crowned I-League Champions After CAS Victory.
There were no cheers, no confetti, no trophy lift—just a quiet Instagram post: Satyamev Jayate. That’s how Inter Kashi marked their return as rightful I-League 2024–25 champions. Months after the All India Football Federation (AIFF) stripped them of the title and promotion, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) overturned the decision, vindicating the club’s solo legal battle.
A Fight With No Backing
“We always knew we were right,” said co-founder Aryaman Shukla, speaking to India Today. “This just proves it.”
The club fought alone—no institutional help, no external support. “This was 100% a solo battle,” Aryaman said. “We were stuck in limbo—not here, not there. We had ideas, but we couldn’t execute them without clarity.”
While emotionally taxing, the CAS process was “procedurally efficient,” Aryaman added. Following the ruling, AIFF issued a formal statement acknowledging Inter Kashi as the I-League champions, effective July 18.
What Now?
Normally, winning the I-League would mean promotion to the Indian Super League (ISL), but uncertainty looms. Promotion-relegation remains inconsistently enforced, and the ISL’s future format is still unclear.
“One step at a time,” Aryaman said. “We’ve started planning again.”
Victory Beyond Trophies
This was Inter Kashi’s second season as a club. They finished top of the table, were stripped of their win, and fought their way back—all before July. The moment may have come without fanfare, but the significance wasn’t lost.
“To our fans—thank you,” Aryaman said. “This is only the beginning.”
