SBI Users Warned: Internet Banking, YONO, and UPI Services to Be Temporarily Unavailable on October 25
SBI Notice: Internet Banking, YONO, UPI, NEFT & RTGS Services to Be Down for One Hour on October 25.
The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a scheduled maintenance activity that will temporarily suspend key digital banking services, including UPI, IMPS, YONO, Internet Banking, NEFT, and RTGS. The downtime is scheduled for October 25, 2025, from 01:10 am to 02:10 am IST, lasting 60 minutes.
During this period, customers will not be able to access these services. However, SBI’s ATMs and UPI Lite will continue to function, allowing essential transactions. The bank has apologized for any inconvenience and thanked users for their understanding.
“Due to scheduled maintenance, our services UPI, IMPS, YONO, Internet Banking, NEFT & RTGS will be temporarily unavailable from 01:10 hrs to 02:10 hrs on 25.10.2025 (60 Minutes). Services will resume by 02:10 hrs,” SBI said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Earlier, SBI had planned a UPI maintenance on October 24, 2025, which was postponed. A revised schedule will be shared later.
What SBI Customers Can Do During the Downtime
1. Use UPI Lite for Small Transactions
UPI Lite works even if the main banking servers are down and supports transactions up to Rs 500 without entering a PIN each time.
How to Use UPI Lite:
- Open a UPI-enabled app like PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, or BHIM.
- Go to the UPI Lite section and link your SBI account (if not already activated).
- Add funds to the UPI Lite wallet (up to Rs 2,000 at a time).
- Make instant payments at shops, stalls, or for travel without waiting for bank approval.
2. Use SBI ATMs and Debit Cards
- Withdraw cash from any SBI or other bank ATM.
- Check your account balance at ATMs.
- Make payments at POS terminals using your SBI debit card.
- Use the card for utility bills or delivery payments.
