Shakira set the stage ablaze as she launched her much-anticipated Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour 2025 in Rio de Janeiro.

For the electrifying opening night, the global pop icon chose a striking creation by Indian designer Anamika Khanna — who also designed Rashmika Mandanna’s wedding ensemble — stepping out in a fiery crimson look that fused dramatic stage glamour with intricate craftsmanship. The ensemble perfectly echoed the tour’s empowering title, which translates to “Women No Longer Cry.”

The singer captivated the audience while performing her 1998 hit Ojos Asi in the smouldering red silhouette. Her outfit featured a jewel-encrusted bra top adorned with Swarovski crystals and detailed embroidery, sparkling under the stage lights with every move.

A show-stopping, sultry statement

Shakira commanded attention in a head-to-toe crimson costume that embodied her signature Latin pop flair. The centrepiece was the intricately embellished bra top, decorated with red sequins and crystal accents that shimmered dynamically on stage. A delicate body chain, studded with glistening stones, cascaded down from the neckline, draping her torso like liquid jewellery and highlighting her silhouette.

She paired the statement top with a dramatic, hip-slung skirt crafted from flowing red chiffon panels that swirled with every step. The richly textured piece featured fringe, beadwork and coin-like accents, adding fluidity and a subtle nod to belly-dance influences. High slits revealed her toned legs, enhancing the bold, performance-ready aesthetic.

Metallic bangles stacked at her wrists and her voluminous honey-toned curls worn loose amplified the outfit’s untamed, flamenco-inspired energy. Against a bold red backdrop and matching microphone stand, the monochrome palette created a powerful visual — passionate, fierce and unmistakably Shakira.

Fans react

Social media erupted with praise as soon as images from the performance surfaced. Admirers described the look as “fierce,” “magnificent,” and “iconic,” with many expressing awe at her commanding presence. At 49, Shakira once again proved that her star power, confidence and stage magnetism remain as electrifying as ever.
