Singer Shreya Ghoshal has postponed her upcoming Mumbai concert, which was originally scheduled for May 10th, in the wake of escalating India-Pakistan tensions.
While she was initially set to perform at Jio World Garden, BKC, Mumbai as part of her All Hearts Tour, the singer announced that the concert will be postponed due to the current events unfolding in our beloved country. However, she added that this is just a postponement, and not a cancellation. A new date for her Mumbai concert will be announced soon.
Shreya Ghoshal took to her Instagram account and shared a statement that read, “My dearest fans, With a heavy heart, I want to share that my homecoming concert in Mumbai, part of the All Hearts Tour and scheduled for 10th May 2025 at Jio World Garden, BKC, will be postponed due to the current events unfolding in our beloved country. This concert means the world to me, and I was looking forward to sharing a powerful evening with all of you. But as an artist and a citizen, I feel a deep responsibility to stand in solidarity with the nation during this time.”
She further added, “I promise that this is not a cancellation, just a postponement. We will reunite soon, stronger and more united than ever. A new date will be announced very soon, and all tickets purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled concert. Recently, Arijit Singh also pushed the date of his upcoming live show in Abu Dhabi in light of the tense situation between India and Pakistan. On Thursday, Arijit’s team took to their Instagram and shared a note in which he spoke about pushing the May 9 show to a later date.
On May 8, Pakistan launched a series of drone and missile attacks targeting Indian states including Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Jammu & Kashmir. However, Indian forces successfully intercepted and neutralised all incoming threats.
On May 7, India launched ‘precision strikes’ under Operation Sindoor on nine terror targets in Pakistan and PoK following the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.
