Patil and Yadav Star as RCB Extend Unbeaten Run with Win Over Gujarat Giants

Royal Challengers Bengaluru continued their dream run in WPL 2026, defeating Gujarat Giants by 32 runs at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Friday. The win marks RCB’s third consecutive victory of the season, powered by brilliant all-round performances from Shreyanka Patil and Radha Yadav.

Radha Yadav Anchors RCB
After a blistering start from Grace Harris, who scored 23 in the first over, RCB stumbled to 43 for four as Gujarat fought back. Smriti Mandhana (5) and Dayalan Hemalatha (4) failed to make an impact, but Radha Yadav rose to the occasion. She scored a career-best 66 off 47 balls, reaching her maiden WPL fifty, and stitched a crucial 105-run partnership with Richa Ghosh (44 off 28) for the fifth wicket. Nadine de Klerk provided a late boost with 26 off 12 balls, guiding RCB to a competitive 182 for seven.

Sophie Devine led the Gujarat bowling attack with 3/31, but crucial drops in the field, including two chances for Radha, allowed RCB to build momentum.

Shreyanka Patil Tears Through Gujarat
Chasing 183, Gujarat began strongly with a 34-run opening stand between Beth Mooney (27 off 14) and Sophie Devine (8). However, Shreyanka Patil struck decisively, dismantling the middle order and reducing Gujarat to 70 for five. Despite a 56-run partnership between Bharati Fulmali (39) and Kashvee Gautam (18), Shreyanka removed Gautam to regain control.

Shreyanka finished with a sensational 5/23 from 3.5 overs, while Lauren Bell supported with 3 wickets for 29. Gujarat ultimately fell short, all out for 150 in 18.5 overs, handing RCB a dominant 32-run victory.

RCB’s Early-Season Statement
The win highlights the lethal combination of Patil’s bowling and Yadav’s batting, keeping RCB unbeaten and sending a warning to other teams. Gujarat Giants will need to regroup ahead of their next WPL outing in Vadodara, while RCB look to maintain their perfect start.
