Sohail Khan Breaks Silence on Split With Seema Sajdeh, Says ‘Kaam Theek Nahi Chal Raha Tha’

Sohail Khan has spoken about his divorce from Seema Sajdeh, saying that his own actions during a difficult phase in his career led to the end of their 24-year marriage.

Appearing on the latest episode of the reality show Alliance, the actor admitted he was not in the right state of mind and still has immense respect for his former wife.

Sohail admits his role in the split

During the episode, host Nikhil Chinappa asked Sohail who he believed was responsible for the breakdown of his marriage.

Reflecting on that period, Sohail said, “At that time, kaam theek nahi chal raha tha (my work wasn’t going well), so I wasn’t in the right frame of mind. Because of my behaviour, I lost someone I truly loved.”

‘More than love, I have respect for Seema’

Sohail described Seema as an integral part of his life and praised her as the mother of their children.

“She is the mother of my two beautiful children, so more than love, I have immense respect for Seema,” he said.

The actor added that sharing the screen with Seema on Alliance helped the two reconnect after years of emotional distance.

“This will always remain a memorable show for me. Though we are separated, this show has brought us back together to talk and confide in one another. There was a missing link between us, and this show helped reconnect it,” he said.

They continue to co-parent

In a separate conversation with Zaid Darbar, Sohail shared that both of their sons currently live with him. He revealed that Seema visits their home three times a week to spend time with the children and still has a key to the house, highlighting their amicable co-parenting arrangement.

Their relationship

Sohail Khan and Seema Sajdeh married in 1998 after eloping. They first solemnised their marriage through an Arya Samaj ceremony before having a nikah. The couple have two sons, Nirvaan and Yohan.
