Toxic Box Office Day 5: Yash-Starrer Nears ₹300 Crore Worldwide Despite Dip In Collections

Yash’s Toxic: A Fairly Tale for Grown-Ups continues its theatrical run after a strong opening at the worldwide box office. However, the gangster drama has witnessed a steady decline in daily collections since its release, with mixed reactions from critics and audiences affecting its momentum.

The film’s ambitious scale has been widely noted, but some viewers have criticised its storyline, which they feel does not match the visual spectacle.

According to trade tracker data, Toxic added ₹2 crore to its overseas gross on Day 5, taking its international total to ₹29.25 crore.

The film’s worldwide gross now stands at ₹285.20 crore after five days, leaving it less than ₹15 crore short of the ₹300 crore milestone.

In India, the Yash-starrer collected ₹23 crore net on Day 5 from 16,241 shows. The film recorded an overall occupancy of 25.3% across the country, taking its five-day India net total to ₹214.10 crore.

The Day 5 figure was 8.5% lower than Saturday’s ₹25.15 crore. Despite the decline in earnings, occupancy edged up slightly, rising from 24.3% on Saturday to 25.3% on Sunday.

The number of shows, however, has dropped considerably. While Toxic had 24,579 shows on its opening day, the figure fell to 16,241 by Day 5.

With the film now just under ₹15 crore away from ₹300 crore worldwide, the next few days will be crucial in determining whether Toxic can sustain its run and reach the major box-office milestone.
