World Leaders Praise Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan, Call It a ‘Turning Point’

Global leaders have welcomed US President Donald Trump’s proposal to end the war in Gaza, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly accepting the plan at the White House on Monday. Trump also stated that the US would take action against Hamas if the group refuses the proposed peace deal, assuring Israel of full American backing.

France Supports Peace and Hostage Release

French President Emmanuel Macron praised Trump’s initiative and called on Hamas to release all hostages. On X, Macron wrote:
“I welcome President Trump’s commitment to ending the war in Gaza and securing the release of all hostages. I expect Israel to engage resolutely on this basis. Hamas has no choice but to immediately release all hostages and follow this plan.”

Macron added that the plan should pave the way for broader discussions to establish lasting peace based on a two-state solution, with France ready to contribute and monitor commitments by all parties.

Italy Backs Stabilization and Reconstruction

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s office described the Trump proposal as a potential turning point, enabling a permanent ceasefire, the immediate release of hostages, and safe humanitarian access. Italy expressed readiness to support stabilization, reconstruction, and development of the Gaza Strip in coordination with the US, European partners, and regional actors.

Germany Welcomes the Initiative

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul called the plan “a unique opportunity to end the terrible war in Gaza,” signaling broad European support for Trump’s mediation efforts.

The proposal has been hailed as a significant step toward peace in the Middle East, emphasizing international cooperation, humanitarian relief, and long-term regional stability.
