Uorfi Javed Opens Up About Struggling at 38 Kgs and How Weight Training Helped Her Heal

Uorfi Javed has always been candid about her life beyond fashion and work. Recently, the actor and influencer shared a deeply personal story about a period when her health hit rock bottom. She opened up about extreme weight loss, poor eating habits, and the toll it took on both her mind and body.

By speaking out, Uorfi offered a glimpse into a time when everything seemed fine outwardly but was falling apart internally. She also revealed what helped her gradually regain strength and feel better again.

Hitting Her Lowest Weight
On January 21, Uorfi took to Instagram Stories to reflect on her health journey. She shared a picture of a weighing scale showing 38 kg, writing:

“38 was my max weight last year. I was so sick and depressed (I’m always depressed). But weight training really, really helped me.”

She explained that although she was thin, her health was far from good. Her lifestyle during that period was unhealthy, taking a serious toll on her body and mind. “I hardly used to eat, just one meal a day, no carbs. I was extremely moody, angry, and irritated all the time,” she revealed.

The Hidden Toll of Under-Eating
Uorfi also detailed how not eating enough affected her body. She noted that her waist had dropped to 23 inches, yet her face often appeared swollen. Addressing speculation about cosmetic procedures, she clarified:
“No, no. My face was so swollen that people started saying I had misplaced fillers. But it wasn’t that.”

She explained that under-eating and ignoring her allergies caused inflammation in her body, leading to issues like blocked sinuses and poor lymphatic drainage—factors that made her face appear puffy.

How Weight Training Helped Her Heal
In her final post, Uorfi spoke about her progress. She admitted that her face still swells occasionally, but overall, she feels much stronger and healthier. “My face still swells up now and then, but I feel much, much better. Weight lifting really helped me,” she wrote.

Uorfi credited strength training with helping her both physically and mentally. Lifting weights played a crucial role in restoring balance and improving her daily well-being.
