War 2 Box Office Day 5: Hrithik Roshan–Jr NTR Actioner Collects ₹6.66 Crore, Total Approaches ₹180 Crore.

Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s high-octane action thriller War 2 continues to make waves at the Indian box office. Released on August 14 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, the Ayan Mukerji directorial is steadily closing in on the ₹180 crore mark domestically, solidifying its status as one of 2025’s biggest releases.

Steady Day 5 Performance
On its fifth day, despite a working Monday, War 2 held firm at the box office, collecting ₹6.66 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This takes the film’s total India net collection to ₹179.13 crore. Hindi screenings saw 10.63% occupancy, while Tamil and Telugu shows performed better, registering 18.67% and 17.48% occupancy respectively, highlighting the film’s pan-India appeal, particularly in the southern markets.

The movie had opened with ₹52.5 crore on day one, jumped to ₹57.35 crore on Friday, then recorded ₹33.25 crore on Saturday and a slight dip on Sunday. Trade analysts say the Monday figures indicate strong weekday retention, reinforcing the film’s box office strength.

About the Film
Produced by Yash Raj Films on a lavish ₹300–400 crore budget, War 2 stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, with Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Ashutosh Rana in supporting roles. The sequel builds on the success of the 2019 blockbuster War, blending star power with high-octane action and visually grand sequences.

Though reviews have been mixed, the audience turnout proves the star duo’s strong pull at the ticket counters. With its consistent performance, War 2 is shaping up to be one of 2025’s biggest cinematic events.
