‘Will Hit Iran’s Nuclear Facilities’: Netanyahu Issues Stern Warning Amid Tensions

Netanyahu Warns: Israel Ready to Strike Iran’s Nuclear Sites Without U.S. Help.

As the Iran-Israel conflict intensifies, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel is fully prepared to destroy Iran’s nuclear infrastructure — with or without U.S. support. In an interview with Israel’s Kan broadcaster, Netanyahu said, “We will achieve all our objectives and hit all of their nuclear facilities. We have the capability to do that.”

He made it clear that Israel won’t wait for approval from Washington to act. “Whether Donald Trump wants to join or not, that’s entirely his decision. He’ll do what’s good for the U.S., and I’ll do what’s good for Israel,” he said. Netanyahu also asserted that regime change in Iran is a matter for the Iranian people, not foreign powers.

One of the potential targets, the Fordo uranium enrichment facility — buried deep within a mountain — is considered among the most fortified nuclear sites in Iran. While traditionally thought to be vulnerable only to American bunker-buster bombs, Netanyahu suggested Israel could still neutralize it.

Israel Deepens Strikes, Reaches Northern Iran
Israel’s military campaign has expanded beyond southern and central Iran, reportedly striking the city of Rasht near the Caspian Sea early Friday. Israel’s military had urged civilians to evacuate industrial areas near the city, though Iran’s internet blackout makes it unclear how many received the alert.

Strikes have already targeted major nuclear and military infrastructure, including Natanz, Isfahan, Tehran workshops, and key missile launch sites. Israeli officials claim these preemptive hits have reduced the scale of Iranian retaliations since the conflict began on June 13.

Trump Weighs U.S. Military Role
Former U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking Thursday, said he will decide within two weeks whether the U.S. should directly join the conflict. He cited the possibility of renewed nuclear talks with Tehran but remained cryptic about his next move — a pattern that has divided opinion within his Republican base.

Just days earlier, Trump made headlines for threatening Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and demanding Iran’s “unconditional surrender” on social media, highlighting the tension between diplomacy and hardline posturing.

Iran Vows Harsh Retaliation, Rejects Surrender
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei rejected the idea of surrender and promised severe retaliation. “We will not accept any imposed peace or war,” he said. Iran maintains that its nuclear programme is for peaceful purposes, although it is enriching uranium to levels just shy of weapons-grade.

Anti-aircraft fire lit up skies across Tehran and Isfahan on Thursday night, and state media claimed there was “no radiation danger” at the Arak nuclear site, which had reportedly been evacuated.

Mounting Death Toll on Both Sides
According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency, Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 639 people in Iran, including top military figures and nuclear scientists. On the other side, Iran’s missile attacks have reportedly killed over two dozen Israeli civilians, as per local media.

The escalating conflict has drawn global concern, with fears that continued hostilities could trigger a wider regional war — or even a direct military showdown between Iran and Western powers.
