Sonakshi Sinha SLAMS Troll Claiming Her Divorce From Zaheer Iqbal Isn’t Far: ‘Pehle Tere Mummy Papa…’
Sonakshi Sinha has often spoken up about how fiercely protective she is of her family, which now includes her husband Zaheer Iqbal.
Fearing debates on her inter-religious marriage, the Heeramandi actor had even turned off the comments section while sharing official photos from her civil wedding. But that didn’t deter a troll from dropping a nasty comment predicting their divorce on another post. However, Sonakshi isn’t the one to let the trolls slide. She rebuked the social media user with a strong message.
Commenting on her post with Zaheer, a troll wrote, “Ur divorce is too close to u.” Sonakshi didn’t scroll the troll. She penned a strong response, “Pehle teri mummy papa karenge, phir hum. Promise.” (First, your parents will get a divorce. Then we will — promise).” The comment is going viral.
Previously, Sonakshi’s father, actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, defended her against trolls commenting on her personal choices. “Anand Bakshi saab has written about such professional protestors, ‘Kuchh to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna. To this I would like to add, ‘Kehne waale agar bekar, bekaam-kaaj ke ho to kehna hi kaam ban jata hai (For unemployed people, this is all the work they have).’ My daughter has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional,” he told Times Now.
Further adding, “A wedding is a very personal decision between two people; no one has the right to interfere or comment. To all the protestors I say – go, get a life. Do something useful with your life. Aur kuchh nahi kehna (I have nothing else to say).”
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have dated for about seven years before tying the knot on June 23, 2024. The couple registered their wedding at their home, followed by a party for their industry friends in the evening.
On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha recently wrapped the shoot of her Telugu debut film, Jatadhara.
