Kareena Rushes to Karisma’s Side After Ex-Husband Sunjay Kapur’s Sudden Death.

Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan visited her sister Karisma Kapoor’s home in Mumbai late Thursday evening, shortly after news broke of Karisma’s ex-husband Sunjay Kapur’s sudden demise in the UK. Kareena was accompanied by her husband Saif Ali Khan as the family gathered in private to grieve.

Sunjay Kapur, 53, reportedly died of a heart attack during a polo match in London. He was the chairman of Sona Comstar, a prominent name in the automotive industry, and was active in elite sports, including motorsport and polo.

Kareena, visibly emotional, was seen leaving the residence quietly in a blue striped shirt, while Saif followed in a dark T-shirt. Mumbai Police personnel were stationed near the building as part of enhanced security measures, following a knife attack on Saif earlier this year during an attempted break-in at his Mumbai home. He had sustained serious stab wounds but recovered fully.

Other close friends of the Kapoor family, including Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora, and Shakeel Ladak, also visited Karisma’s home to pay their respects. Malaika, dressed in beige, appeared somber as she interacted briefly with family members before departing.

Kapur and Karisma married in 2003 and share two children, Samaira and Kiaan. They separated in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2016. In 2017, he married model Priya Sachdev, with whom he had a son, Azarias.

Hours before his passing, Sunjay had posted a message on social media expressing condolences for victims of the Ahmedabad Air India crash, writing: “Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad… May they find strength in this difficult hour.”
