Nupur Sanon’s Label Nobo Trolled for Selling ‘Basic’ Clothes at Luxe Prices.

Nupur Sanon’s fashion label, Label Nobo, has come under fire online for selling what many are calling “ordinary” outfits at luxury prices. Social media users, especially on Reddit, are criticising the brand’s pricing strategy and the simplicity of its designs, with some accusing it of “scamming” buyers.

The brand, launched in 2024, claims to use “premium high-quality fabrics” and is endorsed by names like Kriti Sanon, Uorfi Javed, Sanjana Sanghi, and Rida Tharana. However, its price tags have become the centre of controversy.

A kurta set costs as much as ₹26,500, while a Banarasi lehenga is listed at ₹21,000. The western collection features a skirt and crop top set priced at ₹20,000. Even a simple pair of shorts is selling for ₹2,400.

Netizens haven’t held back:

  • “She’s scamming people.”
  • “Who’s buying this overpriced fast fashion?”
  • “Seen better jackets in Jaipur for ₹1,500.”

“Bhai yeh sab kapde Rajouri ya Chandni Chowk mein dhakke kha rahe hain.”

Many users pointed out the disconnect between pricing and design quality, calling the pieces “ugly,” “unimaginative,” and “not worth it.”
