Rajasthan Teacher Accused of Failing 40 Students Who Skipped His ₹15,000 Tuition.

A government school teacher in Rajasthan’s Sirohi district is facing serious allegations after 40 Class 11 students reportedly failed physics for not enrolling in his private tuition classes. The accused, Rajendra Jain, teaches at Government Secondary School, Naveen Bhawan. According to aggrieved parents, Jain demanded ₹15,000 per student for coaching outside school hours and allegedly warned that those who did not join would not pass.

Protests broke out on Thursday after the results were declared, with parents alleging that academically sound students were deliberately marked low in physics. One student, reportedly distraught over the failure, attempted suicide, escalating tensions further.

“He said clearly — no tuition, no marks. How is this acceptable in a government school?” said a protesting parent. Many claim Jain skipped classroom teaching altogether and offered no academic support to those who couldn’t afford his classes.

Police were deployed to the school premises to manage the unrest. While no FIR has been filed yet, authorities confirmed that an investigation is underway based on written complaints from parents. Parents are demanding immediate suspension of the teacher and re-evaluation of all answer sheets. The district education department has yet to issue an official statement.
