Mrunal Thakur has finally spoken out about the dating rumors linking her to Tamil superstar Dhanush, putting an end to the speculation.

In a recent interview referenced by Only Kollywood, Mrunal dismissed the rumors with a smile, calling Dhanush “just a good friend” and describing the gossip as “funny.” She made it clear that there’s no romantic relationship between them. She also clarified that Dhanush’s attendance at the Son of Sardaar 2 screening was not because of her invitation. “Ajay Devgn invited him, not me,” she said, addressing the misunderstandings around the event.

The rumors began after Mrunal was spotted at the wrap-up party of Tere Ishq Mein, a film starring Dhanush, and their brief interaction during the Son of Sardaar 2 screening caught media attention. Mrunal’s recent following of Dhanush’s sisters on Instagram added fuel to the fire, though both have kept their personal lives private.

Dhanush, who separated from director Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth in 2022 after 18 years of marriage, shares two children with her. Despite ongoing curiosity from fans, Mrunal’s statement makes it clear that their relationship remains strictly platonic—for now.
