Early Sunday morning, unidentified gunmen opened fire outside the Gurugram home of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, unleashing over two dozen bullets before fleeing on a motorcycle.
The attack occurred around 5:30 am in Sector 57, when three masked assailants sprayed the residence with gunfire. The bullets struck the ground and first floors, but Yadav — who stays on the upper floors — was not at home. His family members and caretaker were inside at the time but escaped unharmed.
“We were sleeping when three masked men arrived on a bike. Two got down and started firing, while the third waited. They shot around 25 to 30 rounds before fleeing,” Yadav’s father said, adding that the family had not received any prior threats. Police rushed to the scene, collected forensic evidence, and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area. A formal complaint is awaited before further legal action.
Yadav, 27, rose to fame on YouTube before winning Bigg Boss OTT in 2023. He enjoys a massive following but has often courted controversy, including a 2023 arrest in Noida over alleged use of snake venom at rave parties — a case in which he is currently out on bail.
