Boney Kapoor Reveals Ranbir Kapoor’s 52 Retakes on Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar Set.

Boney Kapoor, who played Ranbir Kapoor’s father in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, has praised the actor’s professionalism and patience during filming. Speaking to Komal Nahta, Boney recalled how Ranbir never complained despite grueling schedules and long hours.

“We shot for 16 hours in Delhi’s summer, even switching to overnight shoots to avoid the heat. Ranbir never cribbed, not even once,” Boney said.

He shared that one scene required Ranbir to give 52 retakes, yet the actor remained calm and respectful toward the crew. “Even when I grew restless after 13–14 retakes, he told me, ‘Till the director is satisfied, you have to keep giving your best.’ That’s his attitude,” Boney added.

Recently, actor Saurabh Sachdeva, who worked with Ranbir in Animal, also praised his curiosity and eagerness to learn. “He asked me a lot about my techniques, including mask work. His curiosity makes him a better artiste,” Sachdeva said.

Ranbir is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, releasing on March 26 next year. Inspired by Raj Kapoor’s classic Sangam, the film stars Ranbir alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in an intense love triangle set against the backdrop of war.
