Jaish Admits: Masood Azhar’s Family Killed in Indian Strikes Under Operation Sindoor.
A senior Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander has admitted that India’s Operation Sindoor strikes in Bahawalpur left the family of terror chief Masood Azhar devastated. In a viral video, commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri recounts how Indian forces hit their Bahawalpur hideout, saying, “On May 7, Maulana Masood Azhar’s family was torn apart by Indian forces.”
Operation Sindoor: Nine Terror Hubs Hit
Launched after the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians, the operation saw Indian armed forces conduct overnight raids on nine JeM and LeT facilities in Pakistan and PoK. Pakistan later confirmed strikes in Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muridke.
Bahawalpur, JeM’s nerve centre, houses its operational headquarters at Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah (Usman-o-Ali campus). Reports in Pakistani media suggested Azhar admitted that 10 of his relatives were killed in the strikes.
Azhar, a UN-proscribed terrorist behind multiple attacks in India, remains in hiding. Pakistani politician Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has claimed Islamabad is unaware of his location but said Pakistan would be “happy” to arrest him if credible evidence is provided.
