Massive LPG Truck Explosion on Jaipur-Ajmer Highway Kills 1, Several Injured.

A devastating fire broke out on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway late Tuesday night after a tanker collided with a stationary LPG-laden truck near Sanwarda in Dudu. The explosion destroyed seven vehicles and left the tanker driver dead.

The blasts were so powerful that they were heard from kilometres away, with flames visible up to 10 km from the site. Thick black smoke filled the sky as multiple LPG cylinders ignited in a series of explosions, forcing bystanders to flee on foot and in vehicles.

Police reported that the LPG truck had stopped illegally near a roadside hotel while its driver stepped away for a meal. A tanker rammed into the truck from behind, causing an instant fireball. Traffic on both sides of the highway was halted as emergency services rushed to the scene.

Dozens of fire brigade vehicles from Dudu, Bagru, and Kishangarh battled the fire, while senior officials, including IG Jaipur Rahul Prakash, coordinated rescue operations. The traffic jam was cleared after nearly five hours.

Two to three people, including the tanker driver, sustained injuries and received primary treatment at a local hospital in Dudu. Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa, who visited the site, confirmed that the situation is under control but noted that some drivers and cleaners from the vehicles involved are still missing.

The incident recalls a similar tragedy at Bhankrota 10 months ago, when a gas tanker explosion on the same highway killed 19 people.
