Sunil Sardhania, Alleged Mastermind Behind Rahul Fazilpuria Attack, to Be Deported to India.
Sunil Sardhania, accused of orchestrating the July attack on singer-rapper Rahul Fazilpuria, is being deported to India from Zurich, Switzerland. Sources said Sardhania was initially traced in Jerusalem with Interpol’s assistance before being detained in Zurich.
Upon arrival, police will take him into custody and bring him to Gurugram for interrogation.
Details of the Fazilpuria Attack
On July 14, two bullets were fired at Fazilpuria’s car on Badshahpur Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) in Gurugram. The bullets hit a divider pole, but the singer escaped unhurt. Sardhania, who was reportedly a close friend of Fazilpuria, later claimed responsibility on social media. He named Deepak Nandal, a music producer, and Indrajit Yadav, allegedly linked to the Himanshu Bhau gang, as accomplices.
According to Sardhania, the attack stemmed from a Rs 5 crore dispute, alleging Fazilpuria had taken the money from Nandal and failed to return it. He even threatened to target Fazilpuria’s associates monthly over 10 months if the debt was not repaid. Fazilpuria, however, dismissed the post as fake.
Connection to Rohit Shaukeen Murder
Sardhania is also accused of involvement in the murder of property dealer Rohit Shaukeen in August. Shaukeen, a close friend of Fazilpuria, was shot dead near Ullahwas Market, Gurugram, by attackers disguised in food delivery uniforms. Investigations suggest a link to gang conflicts and financial disputes, with Nandal emerging as a key suspect.
