Elon Musk Becomes First Person to Surpass $700 Billion Net Worth.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk has made history as the first individual to cross a $700 billion net worth, with estimates now around $749 billion. The milestone follows a US court ruling that reinstated Musk’s long-pending Tesla compensation package, Reuters reported, solidifying his position as the world’s richest person.

Musk’s wealth now exceeds the combined fortunes of the next three richest individuals: Larry Page ($252.6B), Larry Ellison ($242.7B), and Jeff Bezos, illustrating the unprecedented gap at the top of the billionaire list.

What Drove the Surge

The jump stems from the Delaware Supreme Court restoring stock options from Musk’s 2018 Tesla pay package, previously canceled by a lower court. These options are now valued at $139 billion, up from an initial $56 billion. Musk’s wealth is largely tied to company performance rather than salary, making it volatile but capable of massive growth.

Musk’s Mega Empire

Musk also benefits from his 42% stake in SpaceX, recently valued at $800 billion, boosting his fortune by roughly $168 billion. SpaceX is targeting a 2026 IPO with a potential valuation of $1.5 trillion.

Additionally, Musk owns a 53% stake in xAI Holdings, now worth about $60 billion, with the company seeking a funding round at a $230 billion valuation.

With Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI driving unprecedented gains, Musk’s wealth continues to redefine the limits of modern billionaire fortunes.
