Man Allegedly Orders Friend to Murder Sister in Manesar, Commits Sexual Assault

Haryana Horror: Brother Allegedly Plots Sister’s Rape and Murder in Manesar.

A shocking case of alleged honour killing has emerged from Manesar, Haryana, where two men were arrested for raping and murdering a 19-year-old woman over her relationship outside her community. Police say the woman’s 28-year-old brother planned the crime and enlisted his 30-year-old friend, who allegedly carried out the sexual assault and strangulation.

Background

The siblings, originally from Etah and Agra in Uttar Pradesh, had been living in Manesar for six years. The trouble began when the brother discovered his sister was involved with a 24-year-old man from another community and intended to marry him. After initially sending her back to Etah on November 15, she returned to Manesar on November 22 to live with her boyfriend.

The Crime

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Virender Saini, the brother devised a plan to kill her. Following his instructions, the friend contacted the woman under the guise of helping her elope on the night of December 10 near Rampura Chowk. She was taken to an isolated area in Gwalior, where the friend allegedly raped her and strangled her with a scarf. Her body was later hidden under debris in a field.

Investigation

Both accused fled initially. The brother allegedly tried to shift blame onto the woman’s boyfriend, who was later cleared. After sustained questioning, the brother confessed, and the friend admitted to the sexual assault and murder.

An FIR has been registered under sections related to murder, criminal conspiracy, and common intention under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police said DNA tests, post-mortem findings, and other forensic evidence will corroborate the case.
