Several relief flights are scheduled to arrive in Indian cities on Tuesday, March 3, as authorities work to evacuate citizens amid the escalating conflict between Iran and the United States. Four Etihad Airways flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi landed late Monday night, bringing stranded passengers back to India.

Other carriers, including Emirates and IndiGo, are operating regular and special relief services on Tuesday.

The civil aviation ministry said it is closely monitoring developments in Middle Eastern airspace and their impact on international flight operations. “Indian carriers have undertaken calibrated adjustments to their schedules, with long-haul and ultra long-haul operations being progressively resumed through alternative routings that avoid restricted airspace,” an official statement said.

Meanwhile, tensions between Iran, Israel and the US continued to rise, with Tehran vowing retaliation following the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in joint US-Israeli strikes last week. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth described the operation as a “clear, decisive mission” aimed at destroying Iran’s missile threat, adding that it was not a regime-change war.
