Emmanuel Macron said on Saturday that he discussed Iran ceasefire efforts and the situation in Ukraine with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

In a post on X, Macron said the two leaders reviewed developments in the Middle East and called on all sides to respect the ceasefire, including in Lebanon.
They also emphasised the need to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and stressed the importance of securing a strong and lasting diplomatic solution.
