Russian President Vladimir Putin will “definitely” attend the upcoming BRICS Summit to be hosted in India later this year, the Kremlin has confirmed.

According to Russia’s state news agency TASS, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said there is no doubt about Putin’s participation in the high-profile gathering of emerging economies.

While the confirmation underscores Moscow’s commitment to the BRICS platform, the exact dates and venue of the summit in India have not yet been officially announced.

The BRICS grouping—comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa—has increasingly become a key forum for economic and geopolitical coordination among major developing nations. Putin’s expected presence is likely to add weight to discussions on global trade, security and multilateral cooperation.
